With almost two decades of experience in remediation and mitigation work, David is one of the foremost experts in the field. Not only that, but David also received extensive training by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). David’s field of expertise includes a wide range of certifications by IICRC covering fire, smoke, and water damage, as well as mold and sewage remediation.
David’s certifications include:
Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) – Demonstrate the knowledge to perform remediation work and an understanding of water damage, its effects, and techniques for drying structures. Also understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination such as mold.
Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT) – Demonstrate knowledge of scoping, mitigation, cleaning, deodorization, subrogation, spoliation, documentation of residential and commercial fire and smoke damaged structures and contents. Also demonstrate preparedness to perform and document cleaning and deodorization of typical residential or commercial fire and smoke damage projects.
Odor Control Technician (OCT) – Understand olfaction and odor, odor sources, detection process, theory of odor control, equipment, chemical options, and applications. Demonstrate how to address odors caused by biological sources such as decomposition, urine contamination, mold, combustion sources such as fire and smoke damage, and chemical sources such as fuel oil spills or volatile organic chemicals.
Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) — Understand effective, efficient, and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents within a restorative drying environment. Understand water-damaged environments and employee health and safety in the workplace. Demonstrate drying strategies while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants.
Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) – Individuals learn mold and sewage remediation techniques.
Commercial Drying Specialist (CDS) – Demonstrate expertise in damage inspection and evaluation, workflow management, process administration, and technical methods of effective and timely drying of commercial, industrial, institutional, and complex residential water-damaged structures, systems, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).
Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) – Understand the art and science of carpet cleaning, with an emphasis on practical application, identifying fiber, yarn, and carpet constructions, style types, and finishes, soiling conditions, cleaning science and methodology, and other issues and concerns faced by individuals who maintain and clean installed broadloom carpet. Demonstrate carpet cleaning techniques and procedures, including pre-inspection, fabric identification, basic cleaning chemicals and equipment, and proper cleaning techniques and procedures with a residential and light commercial emphasis.
David grew up in southeast Texas before moving to the Pacific Northwest after college, where he spent 12 years working for a family-owned restoration company. David moved to Arkansas to work for Pro Service Builders and is thrilled to help our clients here overcome a wide range of concerns.
