Why Were We Needed?

As one of the oldest church buildings in the entire state, St. Joseph’s not only offers a unique and beautiful structure but also more than a century of history and tradition that its parishioners cherish. However, with age inevitably comes decay. And after almost 120 years of worship, St. Joseph’s floor joists began to rot – and eventually failed.

How Pro Service Builders Responded

When called, Pro Service Builders got on site immediately. We performed a meticulous inspection to ascertain the full extent of the damage – and make sure there were no further structural concerns and dangers associated with this damaged floor. What we discovered was that a full renovation was required for a wide range of a structures – including the flooring of the entire sanctuary, organist’s dais, and the balcony. With that in mind, we went beyond simple renovation, we redesigned the balcony itself and located joists that addressed structural concerns – without interfering with the aesthetic of this historic building.

We had our weekend services and upon entering the church, you could hear older women in the church’s breaths taken away. Many had tears in their eyes from seeing the beautiful finishes.
